Re-rendering internal damp wall.

I'm just removing a limited amount of dry rot from a wall and surrounding timbers in the ground floor flat of an old house. I want to leave the wall as breathable as possible after re-rendering so what's the best stuff to re-render it with?

Welcome to the forums! Your terminology in the UK may be different than what we use here in North
America. What is "rendering"? It may help, too, if you were to post a few pictures of what you are doing so we can offer better help. After all, we can't see what you see. http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...your-post.html

No such thing as "dry rot" It's wood that has been wet at some point and it's now rotting.
Got to figure out how it's getting wet.
Some reasons it could be;
Siding to close to some grade, could be the ground, deck, stoop, ECT.
No vapor barrier on the ground under the home.
Leaking or rotted window sill.
Gaps in the siding.
