I need to know the best way to anchor the posts for my front porch rails. The porch is brick with concrete top. I really don't like the way those metal brackets support.(not very well) Any Help???

Use a heavier gauge bracket. Use a bracket that has four "ears" and a center hole for a wej-it or Red Head type anchor bolt. (Drill the concrete for the bolt). Drill a 2" hole in the concrete. Then grout 3/4" rebar 12" deep (using hydraulic cement) at the center point of the post allowing it to extend 12" above the surface. Drill a 3/4" hole at the center of the post; put building paper across the bottom of the post. Then either drive the post on with a sledge hammer or insert the rebar and grout and set the post at the same time. Use supplemental angle brackets also.
