Question Cement Pool Coping Repair

I have pool coping that looks like cement tiles. What cement should I use to attempt to repair some of the tiles and the bonding between them?

A picture or two would be helpful...... http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...-pictures.html

I used thinset to fix tiles on my inground pool. I used it as grout too.

These are cement tiles held in place with either cement or mortar in between to hold them in place. I need to know what type of cement for damaged tiles and what type of mortar to use in between the tiles. The tiles and mortar in between look just like ordinary cement.

I've used thinset mortar with excellent results.

These are cement tiles on top of the pool deck. They are not on the water side of the pool wall.

I want to apologize for my ignorance on thinset. It may well be a good solution to my problem. I have also heard that hydraulic cement could be good for repairing cement tiles. Does anyone have comments on that? Does anyone have specific product recommendations on thinset or hydraulic cement?

here's 1 comment - never listen to the person who said hydraulic was good for a proper repair - it ain't ! IF it were, someone would've said so by now
