Pattern Concrete
I moved into a house with pattern concrete in the front porch almost 2 years ago. The pattern concrete (or the sealant) faded over the years and looked white from a distance.
I hired a concrete guy last summer to remove the old sealant and re-applied new sealant. The pattern concrete was slippery but did look a lot better afterward with their natural colors. Unfortunately, this did not last too long. Only after one year (sun and snow), they now look dis-colored again as per the pictures attached.
What should I do?

have him reseal,,, not knowing if the sealer was uv-resistant, that's about right for any sealer's ' useful life ',,, we use ' CSS ' on ours which does have a longer life,,, its about the best sealer short of polyaspartics & polyureas,,, next time you have it sealed, have him add some ' shark's grip ' for added traction

understand
so am i but that's the cost of having a nice d/w throat for my bride, nagzilla
IF the sealant was solvent-based, xylene scrub will remove most of it,,, not, of course, what's inside the pores of the conc
ps - who ever said p/w'ing would remove it ?

No idea what kind of sealant the guy used last year. I sent him pictures of the "faded" pattern concrete and he did not reply. I recall clearly that he said the sealant he applied would last a few years.
I talked story a guy working on my neighbour's front yard and he said he would use pressure washer to remove the old sealant.
For obvious reason I am skeptical now.
