Matching acid stained concrete

The wife and I just bought a new house and plan to redo the floors before moving in. We are considering pulling up the existing flooring, putting down a microfinish, and acid staining it a light to medium tan.

Sometime over the next year or two we plan to do some remodeling, which would include removing a cabinet/breakfast bar and moving the staircase.

Our primary concern is our ability to color match the newly exposed areas with the surrounding existing acid stain. Can it be done? Difficulty? Suggestions on minimizing any differences (unfortunately, these areas are not ones we can easily put in darker colored borders)?

big coyones, my friend all things being equal, you shouldn't have any problems IF you use the same techniques & materials,,, just remember that incl's light coats of acid rather'n heavy & neutralizing the acid salt's residue
