what do you call those brick thingies to repair brick ? twisted wire iirc

brick ties, brick pins, what ? we used them in nj to stabilize brick veneer but i can't remember the name,,, bulldog a small hole, blow it out, dip the twisted brick thingie in epoxy, & hammer them into the brick & backup cmu,,, just can remember the name of them now we've got a 30' chimney to fix,,, anybody know ?

underground tank

I might redo my water system and it would involve burying a 600-800 gallon tank in the back yard close to the house.Just for water storage and it would have a pump inside it. I wondered if a plastic tank would be safe in the ground 6 ft down from animals or is concrete or metal the only appropriate choice. what do you think?? a solar powered well pump would slow fill the tank...

Brick Chimney Removed - Now What?

I had a masonary chimney removed to just below the roof line. In the attic I have about 4' of brick that transitions to cinder block at the attic floor. My idea was to try to remove the rest of the red brick and clay liner up to the cinder blocks and then seal somehow. What would be the best way to seal the cinderblock opening? Or if I am unable to get the rest of the red brick off and I still have about 3' stacked from attic floor... how would I seal at that point?
