Advice on over pouring concrete on old slab with no expansion joints

Advice on over pouring concrete on old slab with no expansion joints

Old concrete has small long cracks from no expansion joints. I'm looking to fix them and make expansion joints before I pour a inch of new cement any ideas or thoughts on how I should begin

ouch - a 1" overlay ( bonded OR unbonded ) ? impo, that's not a challenge to be accepted by a diy'er,,, just my po, tho,,, i'm not even sure its possible w/regular conc

I really wanted some advice on how thick a overlay should be and any tips on how to create expansion joints on the old concrete before I pour new concrete
