New concrete & mortar are really dark, can I lighten somehow?

The front stoop at my townhouse is a concrete slab surrounded by a brick border. Yesterday my HOA fixed the crumbling mortar between the bricks and totally replaced the concrete slab (which I didn't think was necessary). The new concrete is a lot darker than the concrete walkway, and the new mortar is noticeably darker than the old mortar. Can I do anything to lighten it? Scrub with bleach? Or will it lighten on its own within a few months?

It will get lighter as it cures. Cool weather will slow the rate of curing (not drying), but it will reach the normal color depending on the materials used and joint type.
