Concrete mold walkway question

I want to use a mold such as the Quickcrete walkmaker to make a walkway. I see that they make 2" thick pavers. That seems excessive to me for a walkway especially made out of such small pavers. Would filling the mold half way to make 1" pavers work? It would cut the concrete cost in half.

Where would the strength be in concrete that is only 1" thick? What is the overall size of the pavers? I'm sure there is a good reason the mold is hte size it is!

sure, why not ? you'll save 1/2 the cost of conc BUT you'll also likely reduce the paver's flexural strength leading to lotsa cracked pavers,,, personally i wouldn't trade conc savings for more labor & mtls replacing broken pavers

Make them full thickness - concrete needs to be thicker than it appears you think it needs to be.
