Large step crack in brick wall
I have a large step crack in my brick siding wall. Called the foundation people but they can't make it out for a couple of months. Should I put in a backer rod and caulk it until they come out? Looking to use NP1 caulk. Lots rain in central Texas right now.

When I had my foundation stabilized They told me the cracks would not close up but would not in cress. I don't see where caulk would hurt but pro's will be in soon.

How big is the crack? If it is only a hairline crack, I would not worry about it until the professionals have had a chance to look at it. If it is a 1/4" or more, yes, I would fill it with something to keep the wheather out.

NP1 is pretty aggressive stuff. My concern is that it will hinder a tuck point repair down the road. Do you have a picture of what the damage looks like? http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...your-post.html

Should have said put more NP1 on. It is much worse than it was. All the rain we got in the spring then the "flash drought" over the summer, now more rain is really screwing up my foundation.
