Best way to fill stucco dog door?

Hi guys

I installed a large dog door a few years ago through the stucco on an exterior wall. I kept the piece of stucco but I had to end up cutting another 1/2" all around so it's not a perfect fit.

What's the best way to get this hole patched up for the sale of my house?

Thanks

I'm curious how you kept the stucco and how you would reattach it or is it not masonry?
A pic would be helpful - http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...-pictures.html

I'll bet it was "stucco" panels not real stucco. Do they even still sell them after all the law suits? If they do then just buy a sheet and cut out what you need. Plan B, fill in the hole and use real stucco to cover the patch. It might be hard for a non pro to match the stucco board though.

Post a picture of the hole n the wall and the panel that you saved. The fix depends some on what you have.

Chances are the OP's stucco is the real thing, being as he's in Arizona. If it was me, I'd hold off on closing up the hole, as there are lots of dog owners buying houses these days. Offer to close the hole as part of the counter-offer process, if needed.
