New concrete slab over old existing slab. Bonding adhesive question?
I am going to pour a new concrete slab onto of an existing slab. I have purchased quikcrete bonding adhesive to roll on the existing slab for better bonding.
My question is can I apply the adhesive the night before pouring the new slab? Will it be too dry by the time I pour the cement ? Or should I apply the bonding agent 1-2 hours before pouring. ?
The instructions on the bottle are not very clear, and I want to make sure I am doing this right.
Thanks

so you're planning a bonded overlay,,, how thick will it be ? how do you plan to prep the existing conc ? have you considered your joint pattern - reflective as well as required in new ?
i don't know any pro's who'd be using 'bonding material' -dialing the 800# will probably be the easiest part of this job even if you use a rotary dial phone
