Stucco Question
I'm reconfiguring an exterior opening in a block wall by blocking in the old door way opening and cutting a new opening in the wall for a french door.
My question is, how far in should I recess the new block wall and lath covered header from the existing exterior stucco wall , in order to allow for the correct thickness of the new stucco application?
It's a large wall so i'd like to try my best to match the new to old stucco finish before redoing the entire wall.

IOW, whatever the thickness of the original stucco leave that much thickness for the new stucco. If it were mine and there was a way to do it without getting not trouble n the snide of the wall .ike if the walls are furred and coed with drywall then I would opt for more stucco thickness by a little.
