Pipe extending from exterior foundation

Hi,

Not sure what this metal pipe is that is extending outside from my exterior foundation? It has a red oversized cap on the end?

Are you sure it is a pipe? Have you tried removing that "cap" from the end? Is it anywhere near where the electrical service is located?

Purely a guess but it might be a Ufer ground that should be connected to the electrical service.

Big for a UFER, but plausible. Wonder, considering the cap, if it is just a fallen rebar with an anti-impaling cap on it? I guess we'll find out when the cap is removed.

What is it's diameter? Looks too smooth to be rebar but then it's a little hard to tell from the pic.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I checked and was able to remove the cap and pull the rod out. One end is sealed and slight flare the other end is pointed. It was in the foundation just a little, enough to just pull out. Not sure what is used for or is to be there like some ground rod? Above a few feet is a outlet cover that appears can be used if needed.

Concrete form rod. I am guessing it had holes punched through it at the top.
