Fixing Twisted Stucco Bands

My first time attempting DIY stucco bands. After applying the final coat of stucco I noticed the last bottom 2 feet of one side of the band is twisted inward. I didn't think it would bother me, but now it does and I want to fix it. Is there a technique without breaking out the twisted section, using a tool or something to form up the edge and apply some more stucco to even it out ?

How long does polymeric sand last?

I had a contractor install a paver patio about 5 years ago and he used polymeric sand to seal between the blocks. He did an excellent job and not a single brick has heaved or moved...but almost immediately little ant hills made an appearance. That didn't bother me, but I thought polymeric was supposed to be a barrier. Then the occasional weed would pop through. That bugged me a little. Now I have ant hills, weeds and moss on the lines. If this polymeric stuff is that weak I'm afraid to use a pressure washer on it. Was the install too thin or is there owner maintenance I'm not aware of?Read More

inverted spray paint inquiry

I'm doing a project that involves spray painting though a stencil (or template) yellow footprints onto a long length of concrete sidewalk, using spray cans of that inverted marking paint used for marking stripes etc onto various ground surfaces. Previously, approximately a year ago, I did this onto the sidewalk using the specific Rustoleum product shown in the link below, which says it's a solvent base. That spray paint worked pretty darn good and lasted well without fading/deteriorating very bad within a year's time. I am wanting to repeat doing this project again once again this year but the problem is the two local retailers who sell paint in my small rather isolated Alaskan community do not have this same particular spray paint available and instead have only a Seymour water-based product as shown in the other link. I am concerned if I was to use the water-based product on the concrete it would surely fade/deteriorate away much much earlier than the solvent based would, perhaps even within a matter of only a few weeks or months depending on the weather. I'm figuring, but am uncertain whether, the water-based stuff would not be a proper spray paint at all for this application and so am soliciting any other opinions/comments here to help me to decide whether to even consider/try the water-based stuff for the project as described.
