Best Way to Repair Foundation Wall

The idiot that backfilled hit the new foundation wall and took a huge chuck out of it. What is the best way to have this repaired? Cut a large section out, pin rebar horizontally and vertically, and pour on top, or remove the entire section down to the footing and do it over?

Would the following suffice? Red line is cut line and green lines are #4 rebar to be placed.

Best way is to let the contractor fix it, that's part of what your paying them for.

Yes, of course. I just want to be sure they do it properly.

The first thing the contractor will have to do is see if he can find the form liners that will match the existing wall. Assuming it will be exposed to view.
