How do I mate field stone foundation to timbers?

How do I mate field stone foundation to timbers?

So I've got this nice little shop that is pretty well insulated, but it has these jagged gaps between the stones and the timbers on either side of the garage doors and not sure how to proceed. Any ideas?

I'd close it in with wood. That would be easier than trying to fit rock/mortar in the void.

Extend that piece of wood (the wide white one) to the ground with a piece of pressure treated or marine plywood. You could attach the new wood to the face of the existing and cap with a piece of trim.

Then fill the gap behind the new wood with expanding spray foam (between the wood and the stone) to fill the irregular gap.

Trim the foam flush inside and cover with wood or dry wall.
