Couple of crumbling bricks

I noticed this last fall a couple of bricks at the base of the house are crumbling.

The downspout next to the bricks was not fully inserted into the drain pipe so water was probably splashing onto the bricks, I just fixed that yesterday.

The bricks feel solid, nothing feels loose or crumbly but clearly the face has spalled off, probably due to the downspout.

So what to do? I have left over bricks, is this something that needs to be replaced or just a cosmetic issue?

Yes, it's from the multiple freeze thaw cycles from constantly being wet. It's likely just a cosmetic issue at this point. Up to you if you want to replace them, but I doubt its urgent. Probably would be a good idea to do it if you ever plan to sell.
