Bad condo wall repair, opinions needed

Hi,
I have what I would considered a bad brick job on a new wall that was constructed.
The brick layer created an obvious change in brick pattern and color halfway thru the construction of the wall. I would just like opinions on this matter. I think the job should be fixed somehow but my condo board and masonry company seem to be leaning towards keeping it this way.

It does seem to come off, but the brick but the brick was made that way. When the white is removed the brick the area looks like gray cinder block color causing another mismatch. I feel they should have blended those white bricks throughout - evenly.

agree it would have looked better IF they had done as you wished. however, as its a condo, it also appears to be 'common area' meaning you're no dog in the hunt. only recourse is to the hoa board &/or retained property manager

Eh, welcome to Condo-World -
"you" don't own it, "everybody" owns it and everybody gets a say in what happens.

So, the only choices are to break if and fix it before anybody else notices,
or convince everybody else that it is important enough to everybody to fix.

I will fix it myself with faux paux brick matching/painting some whitish bricks on the bottom of the wall.

It seems the conscientious it's it's a bad job here - but take a look the brick mason introduces a new color brick halfway thu the wall construction and then uses that different color brick in the entire row. If i tried to create a mismatch this is the technique one would use.

we often get hoa/condo calls re broken brick work,,, trying to find matches for old brick's sometimes impossible as God's changed the mtls used in original brickwork,,, hence brick staining & coloring

In the grand scheme of things I personally would just let it go. Had you posted the picture without the editing and asked what is wrong I dont think many would have noticed!

As with kids, pick your battles!
