Finishing up an old interior stained concrete project

Ten years ago we built a kitchen on our home and used Kemiko concrete stain. We put a single coat of sealer on, then life interrupted. After having cancer and nine surgeries in five years, I am back to work.

We've developed what looks like some efflorescence, but I am be wondering where to go from here. Do I need to remove the old sealer? I am not certain exactly what sealer I used, as the bottle is long gone.

This is a rustic country kitchen, so I am not going to be terribly picky, I just want to protect it and have it look as nice as reasonably possible.

I would love some suggestions... I truly at a bit of a loss.

Thanks!

Anna

try a cloth dipped in xylene to see if it softens/removes the sealer. if it does, you'll know which sealer you used - wtr or solvent-based
