Notching Granite
I'm not certain where else to post this granite modification question. At one property we have a granite counter slab with an electric stove top installed in its cutout.
The new one we bought fits the old top's cutout perfect, with one exception: there are 4 areas in the slab that need to be notched at the slab edge--a half circle about 1 inch by half inch....then the new top will fit and drop in place.
What is the best way to do this? (Preferably with the least dust generation) Right angle grinder? Jig saw with diamond blades? Thanks much!

You can also use a diamond blade in a angle grinder. Having someone with a spray bottle of water to squirt on the blade will help. Also, hold the end of a shop vac right up to the edge of the saw to catch as much of the dust as possible.
