Firepit question part 2. How long until I can drill into these bricks?

So after laying the tiles on the base on Monday I built the brick walls yesterday and today I applied a scratch coat to the outside.

There are little niches in the brick on the outside where I'm going to install lights and I need to drill some small holes (5mm) jin the inside end of some of the bricks to mount the socket?

Can I do that tomorrow or should I wait for the bricks to bond more?

If you need to drill into the brick I would wait at least a week or more. The vibrations from the hammer drill will try to crack everything apart so waiting as long as possible is best. Next time if you drill the holes before you mortar them into place you don't have to worry about causing damage.
