Cold patch and sealing

Was going to have driveway sealed in 3 weeks. If I add cold patch to extend part of driveway and feather it into the original will it show much after sealing?
Any tips to make it look as one?
Thanks

It's difficult to make a hot patch blend [there will always be a slight difference] I'd be surprised if you could make a cold patch blend.

After we cut up parking lots to make repairs to damaged wires, we have used cold patch to repair the hole we make. The repair is less than stellar, stay soft for quite some time, and patches sink over time. It is not designed to replace hot asphalt.

Besides that any patch needs to cure for about a year before sealing.
