Drainage for patio surrounded by neighbors

Just moved into a new condo and the next project is to add a patio to the back yard area. We have neighbors on both the left and right side as well as the back (down a little hill, but their yard backs up into ours). My concern is that by adding a patio (we have dirt now) there would be no place for the water to go. Any options?

Slope it to a gutter grate and have a French drain with a dry well as a clean out point.

In the grand scheme your patio won't change anything. Legally you cannot change the flow of water off your property without the proper approvals. You will construct and slope your patio as needed. As the water flows off the patio it will then follow the lay of the land and flow off your property basically the same as water does now.
