Question brick and mortar worn away on outside cavity wall next to window

Hi all,

I live in an old 40yo house in West Australia which has cavity walls and single pane sliding windows that have been installed into the cavity. What has happened is the bricks are wearing around the window frame as well as the mortar because of the high winds we have here. That has caused significant gaps in certain areas to the point where you can see through to the inside cavity wall.

See here for pictures as i couldn't upload for some reason: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1qQ...W5-pyfOsbwAm2s

My question, is what can i do in this situation? Do i fill it with foam and then use mortar or should I replace the brick and then use mortar?

Thanks for any help.

Richard

You are clicking the image button instead of the paper clip button.

Tuck point the gap with mortar mix.
