Stairstep cracks under porch, settling issues. FLOOR JACK IT?

Oh my.

There is a small square porch/entry room in front of the house, that appears to be sinking.
The room is about 5 ft x 5ft square. Its pulling away from the front of the house, and causing cracking as it sinks.
Note this little room, when looking at it from the front, is BEHIND the red slab porch- which is just a big pile of bricks with a concrete cube around it.
Its not happening fast- I knew it was doing this 20 years ago. But it is definitely not stopping.
This little slew of pictures seems to tell the whole story.

Stairstep cracks are on the sides of the brick foundation under it, which have widened.
There is a little room under the porch, accessible from the basement through a small door.
Inside its about oh maybe 4 feet high, and dirt floor.
I'm very worried about termites, because the boards look a little funny- but strangely, there are good boards next to the bad ones, as if it were repaired(??)
I don't think there's termites, I havent seen any.

At any rate... my idea was to prop up the outside corners with metal pin floor jacks, to counter the sinking- maybe put each one on a concrete block on the dirt.
Then maybe I can crank them up slowly over the course of a number of weeks. I probably won't get it back to its original position, but at least relieve some pressure on the house.
Is this a feasable/sane plan?
What does anyone think.
