Pavers and Hot Tub

My mason is putting Cambridge Pavers (2 3/8" thick) over a dry pack 4" base concrete. The area where the hot tub will go is a depth of 5" plus the pavers. I did not see them use any wire though. The concrete is the traditional very dry under the pavers instead of a stand alone wet poured slab. What do you think a safe cure time is to support a 7' x 7' x36" Hot Tub spa that holds 340 gallons? The unfilled weight is 830 lbs and filled 4715 lbs.

Welcome to the forums.

Use any wire ? You mean reinforcement in the concrete ?
At least 24 hours should be long enough until you put the tub on it.

With that much weight..... a little reinforcement in the concrete would be helpful.

I thought so but it's done already. Upon speaking with the worker he said he went at least 6" down in the hot tub placement area and 4" everywhere else. he said it will be real strong because the cement is seamless from the hot tub area to the rest of the paver area. He said the pavers are concrete in addition to what is there making it even thicker and dispersing the weight over a large area. The whole job was 12' x 30'.
