stucco repair
I have a 100 year old house that has stucco type exterior. I have a section by the steps to my front porch that needs to be repaired / patched. It looks like underneath the stucco in this area is a type of lathe. The interior of the house is lathe and plaster. Plan to sell the house in the spring, and not looking for perfect repair, but something of the 80/20 variety I could handle myself. Maybe concrete patch. Think of myself as handy but dont have experience working with exteriors.

Many thanks!

If all you want to do is sell the house an put the problem onto the next owner here is how to do it. Remove any more loose stuff around the area. Spray this lath with some oil based primer then get some stucco patch and mix it according to the directions on the package and press it into the gaps in the lath and spread it flush. Let that set then experiment with the texture until you are happy with it. Paint like the rest and hope it sells before the repair comes loose.
