Crooked Concrete

A fellow pouring concrete for city sidewalks, formed and poured the area from the sidewalk to my steps. My wife blames me?? Anywho, could I fix this with a masonry saw or do I tear it out and start over?

See it

Could it be cut, probably, a DIY task, probably not, cutting concrete with any kind of hand tool is not a simple task, plus the configuration of the blade will be an issue against the steps and the side walk.

I think you have 2 choices, tear it out or get some shrubs/landscaping that will soften/hide the edges.

I'd be inclined to leave it. I like the suggestion for small shrubs or a flower bed to lessen the edges.

I hate to say the lack of symmetry bugs me as well. But, are you really up for removing it and starting over? If so I would certainly get someone better to do it next time. Or, I'm thinking some evergreen shrubbery (maybe boxwood) you could plant sorta close to the edge and allow to grow over and conceal the edges. Then you could trim the shrubs symmetrically to shape the walk as you want.

I have to agree with Marksr. Leave it. To be honest if you didn't mention it I would not have notice it.

I was the same. I had to look hard to find the issue, but then I don't have a wife's eye. Tell her it's for drainage.
