Moisture barrier for brick floor laid on the ground.

I want to lay some brick on the ground where there is constant moderate moisture. This is a covered area and I want to minimize the dampness as much as possible.. Any ideas on how to proceed? Thanks.

Outdoor brick and paver projects sit on the ground, moisture barriers are never used, in fact the desire is to install sufficient foundations to allow water to drain away!

Follow the instructions for installing a brick or paver patio. Brick & pavers are set on a thick base of compacted crushed stone and sand. No moisture barrier is used.
