I want to install some pavers right outside my back door. There's some concrete from the house foundation that looks like a spillover. Do I remove this so I can push the pavers flush to the house? And if so, what's the best way to break this off? Thanks
If the material is in the same location as where the pavers will sit then yes it needs to be removed. How to removed is dependent on how much and how thick the slag is.
If thin it can simply be chipped away, if thicker it may need some cutting/grinding to remove. You don't want to beat on it so much that you risk breaking away chunks of the foundation.
Hi -- the previous owners tiled the porch. Sigh. After years of heat/cold expansion/contraction cycles, moisture has done its work and there are broken tiles now, one after another.
Two questions for which I'd appreciate any advice:
1. Best way in the short-term to mitigate risks of tripping/falls. In the attached picture that is looking straight down at the tiling, "A" points to tiles in the vertical position at the top step, which now protrude above the horizontal plane of the porch now that tiles on the porch itself are gone. This presents a hazard. So my question is: would it be best to re-attach the tiles on the horizontal plane (the porch) so as to make the porch level with the vertical tiles that protrude above the tileless area? Or, should I remove those vertical tiles and try to chisel any of the mortar, etc. to smooth it out as best as possible?
2. Long-term -- I imagine it's going to be a hassle to remove all the tiles and mortar to get to a smooth surface. Any suggestions on how to approach?

Good afternoon,
Just prepping to pour a garage floor this week.
Just wondering what I should use for lag bolts for the 2x6's. Pic attached
EDIT please note this pic is only an example. Not the actual job.
Thank you friends!
