in my haste i tore up the old asphalt walkway to my front door. still haven't decided if i'm going with brick or pouring cement. if i went with cement, could anyone outline the steps i would need to follow in order to do the job right. do i have to level the area, put stone down, first, etc....
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Walkways are generally poured 3 1/2" thick on compacted earth. Steps? Try the Masonry section of the Better Homes and Gardens Home Improvement Encyclopedia Need general concrete info?

If you have not done it allready. lay out what you want set the forms to the right grade. grade the area down 3 1/2 " and add not know how large an area you have but small area can be done with sack concrete larger areas need cemente truck or a mixer, cement and sand/gravel...Good Luck
