Question

in my haste i tore up the old asphalt walkway to my front door. still haven't decided if i'm going with brick or pouring cement. if i went with cement, could anyone outline the steps i would need to follow in order to do the job right. do i have to level the area, put stone down, first, etc....
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Walkways are generally poured 3 1/2" thick on compacted earth. Steps? Try the Masonry section of the Better Homes and Gardens Home Improvement Encyclopedia http://www.bhglive.com/ Need general concrete info? http://www.concretenetwork.com/

Hello
If you have not done it allready. lay out what you want set the forms to the right grade. grade the area down 3 1/2 " and add concrete....do not know how large an area you have but small area can be done with sack concrete larger areas need cemente truck or a mixer, cement and sand/gravel...Good Luck
