I want to tear out my existing fireplace fascia and replace with a precast concrete fascia.

I would like to receive tips on tearing out the existing fascia which is constructed of stone and mortar. (are there chemicals that will make this easier or should I just use a sledge hammer?)

I also would like to receive information on precast concrete manufacturers and any experience with the precast product.

Hello
Do not use any chemicals to unsafe..and they do not work..use a hammer and chisel or an electric jackhamme....precast tire place I have not seen in years bud did work fine at the time do not know why you would want one though very hard to install, you need a crane.....the tin can fire places have taken over the market now and work fine some look more like brick than brick....Good Luck
