I want to install a cement garage floor next year but in the meantime would like to put some stone over the existing dirt floor. What kind of stone should I use that would not have to be removed when it comes time to cement. Also how thick should it be? I tried to post this before but it got lost somewhere so if this is a duplicate I apologize. Thanks. Anita

I don't know how you will solve the difference in elevation between the garage floor and the approach apron but 4" of 3/4" base rock will suit most circumstances.
