I have red brick on the front of my home. This bick cover only the lower section of the house. I would like to go over it with a more modern looking stucco finish. Do i have to put mesh on the brick? Is there a special type of stucco used in a project like this. Thanks

Stucco over brick

Stucco is typically not a DIY project. Whether you go with concrete or synthetic stucco, you will find that tends to be high maintenance. Brick, on the other hand, is maintenance free and if properly installed a timeless exterior. Many forums posters want to know how to remove mold and mildew from stucco. Concrete stucco tends to crack over time. Synthetic stucco, if not properly installed to allow the escape of trapped water behind is another list of nightmares for stucco owners.
