Question Brick walls that show siding on plans?

Hello everyone,
I am getting started on contracting out my own home. I have already purchased a set of plans from an online establishment. The house is a two story home. Most of the home on the plan is brick and some of it is siding. I wish to brick as much of it as possible. On the back of the house I am just simply going to add a brick ledge and brick it. But my question is. On the second story there are rooms that kinda pop out of the roof. These rooms are siding. Is there some kind of reinforcement beam I have to install for the weight of the brick? Or can I just have it bricked? There is also a peak that is setback ~ 3 or 4ft from the front of the house. It also comes out of the roof. Do I have to reinforce that also? I am trying to get away from as much siding as possible. If I do have to use siding I am going to use Hardi. Thanks in advance for your help. Luis from Houston

STICK IT

You may want the advice of an engineer on this. I have been doing commercial brick for 27 years and have not run across that. However we did come across a building that was brick and wanted a second story added with brick. Because of the cost what they used was the actual brick cut down to 1/2" and the we glued them to the plywood and the jointed them with regular mortar. You can't tell the difference.
