Could someone please tell me how many bags of 60lbs or 80lbs
bags of ready made concrete I would need for a pole that is 5feet tall and 8 inches around? Thanks

It depends on what the pole is holding up. And how deep you have to dig. If its a fence post you probably want to dig a hole that is deeper than the frost-line ( Freezing and thawing of the soil can cause a post to heave up and around and make a fence line all wonky if the hole isn't deep enough) Of course if you live in a part of the country that never freezes you're O.K.
For a normal fence post you could probably get away with two 60lb. bags, maybe three, since it's 8 inches in diameter. Sorry I can't give you exact info, but if you do an internet search, a site with precise instructions is bound to turn up...or if you wait a bit, there are many wise men and women who contribute to these forums...

This is for the whole pole not just for a post setting. Its for a car barrier so cars wont run into a gas meter and a airconditiong unit. Thanks for you reply.
