a bucket of citronella was knocked over on our brick patio and melted wax spread over a sizable portion of the brick. what is the best way to remove it without leaving any permanent stain or marking?

Cleaning candle wax from brick

Excess candle wax can be scraped away and swept up or vacuumed with shop vacuum. Spray WD-40 on stains, doing a section at a time. Let set. Blot with cleaning rag. Because brick is porous, you may not be successful getting wax out of pores. To dispose of rag, seal in airtight container like a jar or coffee tin. Solvent cleaners are flammable, volatile, and smelly. Improper disposal could lead to spontaneous combustion.
