How to find cost on a new vehicle??

Several years ago when I bought my truck I found a website that you could plug in a vehicles options and get a breakdown of the cost of each option and a fair price of the vehicle so you could keep from being taken at the lot. Now my wife is looking for a new ride and I can't remember the website. Any help greatly appreciated. rugerman

Thanks for the reply hogfan but the site that I'm looking for is set up so that you pick the make, model and options and they give you the dealer cost and a reasonable markup. rugerman

for future reference kbb.com and edmunds.com are a good start. You can also check the classifieds for you local newspaper, and see what people are asking for comperable vehicles on autotrader.com and other national classified websites. Checking an enthusiast forum on the web for your type of car can give you pricing info as well.
