How to deal with dealers on a used Pacifica

Ok, here's the deal. My wife wants a 2005 chrysler pacifica...badly! She's been looking at the 2005 touring edition with the DVD/Navigation, etc. I don't want to spend over $20k, but tomorrow I've been told I'm buying her a car in San Jose. These cars are going for $22k+

I hate dealing with the car salesmen. Any good advice is appreciated. We have pulled out some money from our house to purchase her a car, me a truck and a trailer for the fam. I'm thinking the Ford 150, quad cab (I have two little ones) and I want to buy and pull a trailer.

A friend of mine told me not to mention financing until the final price is negotiated. He also said to make sure if we buy used the miles should be 12k miles/per year average. Anything more could be an issue.

Help. This goes down tomorrow and I want to negotiate the best price possible.

Your best bet would be to check the Kelley Blue Book. Write down all the different scenarios (mileage etc). Thats about all the real dealing you will be able to do. You have to realize that the dealer has other people willing to buy the vehicle. Good luck and hope you get what you want.
