coleman lattern

Hi,
I found from my dad his old coleman lattern which has not been lit for a good while. It means a lot to me, so I want to repair it for myself. I need to change the mantles and possibly the pump, because the mantels have desenterated and not sure if the pump even works, so I figured I'd better buy some new mantles and pump repair kit. Only watched my dad light it, and don't know the first thing about repairing it. Any information would really be appreciated! The hurricane season is here and I would like to have it to use, hopefully not need.......Thanks!

Michael:

Repairing a device like a gas lantern has the potential for disaster if you are unsure or not careful.
If you think you can do it go here for repair instructions for your lantern and pay close attention to the details.

Thanks for that link Greg I too needed assistance with this since I've always used propane. But this summer I picked up a 3 burner coleman stove from this elderly couples yard sale for $5.00 and it looks brand new yet they tell me it's about 30 some years old. At the same place I got an American made black iron stew pot with a lid and handle to hang over a fire for $2.00. I felt like I hit the lottery that day.
