Is there a quick and easy way to restore a wooden raised panel garage door to a reasonably nice condition? The door I am working on is severly weathered by the sun. The surface is dry and darkened and I'd like not to spend 3 days sanding it.:confused:

I currently have a free-standing wrought iron handrail (mounted to wall by brackets) for my interior stairs. No spindle, banister etc. I have two options: 1) Replace with a new wooden handrail. Does any store (online, brick&mortar) sell "kits" for wooden handrails in various lengths? I went to Home Depot this weekend and saw they sold handrails (with no finished ends) in 8-12' sections. Wondering if anyone sold finished handrails (with finished ends) in various lengths. If not, suggestions on best way to build my own from the various parts @ Home Depot? 2) The wrought iron handrail is now black. If I wanted to paint it rather than replace, would I need to prime first (standard interior prime?) and then paint it with standard interior paint, or better to go with a spraypaint? Thanks, Gary
