delicate joinery

delicate joinery
I want to build a display case with a mirrored back and glass in the sides and in the doors. Approximately 24"W x 33"T x 12"D. I would like to use cherry and make it as delicate as possible. I can't decide on what the best joinery would be to make it delicate yet sturdy. Any suggestions ? Thanks

I think that frame and panel would provide the least obvious wood with all the strength that comes from frame and panel. Framing with a nice ogee could look delicate, yet strong. You might consider one or three rails with upper stiles to break up the monotony of all the glass. A style such as three over one for each door. Lots of ideas come to mind. Draw some ideas to scale to get a feel for the balance of the case. Mission style seems worth using as a jumping off point. What you are building is a window in many ways.
Hope this helps.
