Looking to build replacement roofs for my birdhouse. Having a hard time finding white cedar boards 1X8X12. Does anyone know of a website you can order from?? Western cedar would be preferable

Square Wooden Columns For Front Porch

I am interested in making some columns for a porch. I want them to be square. I know the ones in my area are veneered. What is a typical material for the actual column that is to be veneered? In other words, what goes inside the veneer? Thanks

Here is a state coins project I'm doing, I plan on using 3 different types of wood stains on the pieces, do you think that when I attach these pieces to a plywood background and stain the background a blue color, would it look good and is that a bad idea?
