Need a miter saw for project

I am doing a project where I need to install baseboards and door casings. I am looking to buy a miter saw for this project and further remodeling down the road (simple things).

I want to buy a good saw but nothing over my head with features I will never use. Any recommendations of a saw to buy and/or features I should look for in a saw.

Something in compound mitre.

And a good 60-80 tooth carbide blade, freud, for instance.

As stated in the previous post, a compound miter would be a good choice. Even if you don't use the compound feature, it's good to have available should the need arise.
You should be able to get a fairly decent one for homeowner DIY projects for around $100- $150 from a local home center. I have a Ryobi 10" that I bought 3 years ago for $99, and still use it today. It's been very reliable.
As far as number of teeth on the blade, 60-80 is good, but minimizing tear out really comes after you learn how fast to move the blade through the wood. You can saw through some woods faster than others without causing too much tear out.

Hope this helps!
