Carpentry schools or Seminars

Hi everyone, I live in Central New Jersey and I've been working on my house for about a year now, learning as I go. I looked in the internet to see if I can find some kind of home improvement or carpentry schools in my area. I would love to learn from someone with real experience, and not just reading from a book or asking some kid from HomeDepot a question as they stair at you as if you have two heads.

So far I completely made over my kitchen and now I'm doing the same to my first floor bathroom. I enjoy the work but get fustrated by not really knowing what I'm doing. Sometimes things look at lot easier than they really are.

So if someone from Central to South Jersey ( Long Branch to Brick areas) know of any kind of hands on schools or seminars please post back with some information.

Help and teacher too

How about hiring a carpenter to work with you for a week or two?

There are framing contractors, trim carpenters, roof/deck guys who specialize in particular phases of construction.
