Question

We want a loft bed for our son. 1)Where can I find plans for building 2)Is it possible to convert our exsisting bunk bed to a loft by reinforcing it? And where could we get instructions to do this? Thanks

Any plans for a loft bed that you might find would probably have to be adapted to fit your situation. It may be possible to convert a bunkbed frame to a loft bed if it is sturdy enough now. It may also be possible to make a 2x6 frame for strength and fit part of the bunkbed frame into it to make use of the frame & springs. Attachment is the primary concern... the bed will only be as strong as what it is secured to. Make sure you get anchored into SOLID framing members.
Sorry this is rather general and may not be of much help.
