Question Problematic Aphotecary Cabinet

I need to build an japanese aphotecary cabinet.
I have made few small chests before so i have basic knowledge about woodworking... but the problem with japanese cabinet is that it will be worn on back like backpack so it has to be strudy - so it's bottom won't fall of from weight of things inside, and as light as possible.
I don't have much problems making it light but im realy afraid that the things will just fall through the bottom :/
So i would be greatfull for some advices on making it durable.

Thanks in advance.

Bottom panel should fit into dado, not just rabbet and certainly not screwed to side bottoms. I would use 1/2" stuff mostly, and 1/8" plywood for bottom.
