framing 101

Can yo suggest a good place to find easy illustrations for framing out interior walls, door and windows. I would like illustrations coupled with description if such documentation exists.

Framing Books

Visit your public library or bookstore. When you find a book you like, buy it. The big box home centers also have how-to books.

If you have the opportunity, volunteer on a Habitat for Humanity home build where you can see construction in progress. Many volunteers have no experience. A willingness to learn and work is all that is necessary.

Good luck with your project.

Great suggestion on the H4H project. The carpenters who volunteer there are always great guys! Honest and helpful...
