Driving Deck Screws? LOX?

What size square drill bit/s would I need to fit a #8-1 5/8" and #10-3" square recess deck stainless screws? Also, would a square bit also work for a LOX screw, or do you need a special bit for those?

Driver Bits

Try a #2 square drive bit for your #8 and #10 screws. The package should tell you which bit is required.

The LOX screws will require a LOX driver bit.

Okay, thanks. I'm building a shed workbench and it calls for #8 and #10 screws for the 2x4's, and I was looking at HD and saw the LOX stuff...didn't know what it was at first. Square-hole and bit will do just fine for me.

Lox bits

The lox recess allows 5 time the torque with out stripping the screw head over square drive. Go to www.grabberman.com for more info. or to purchase bits.

screws

I like the Torx screw heads. Use a T-25 Torx driver bit.
